Amy Boyle- Exec Board, President

Director of Human Resources and Communications

Bachelor of Science, Loyola University Chicago

Amy is the Director of Human Resources and Communications, leading the firm’s human resources efforts as well as communications initiatives.  Prior to joining Geneva, Amy was Director of Human Resources and Chief Compliance Officer at Copia Capital LLC.  Amy serves on the Board of Directors for Youth Choral Theater of Chicago (currently President of the Board) and is a member of the Advisory Board for Tutoring Chicago.

Amy and her husband Patrick live in Evanston with their two daughters, Kat (who has been a singer with YCT for eight years) and Bernadette, a former YCT singer.


Mary Ann Finlay-  Exec Board, Secretary

Mary Ann Finlay is the parent of three YCT graduates and has been active on the Board and Exec Committee since 2005.  She has served on the Board at North Shore Country Day School, and in various volunteer roles, including President of Parents’ Association, President of the Benefit Board, and Auction Chair.  As a past YCT Treasurer, Mary Ann helped develop and expand fundraising opportunities at YCT.

Mary Ann earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Duke University, and worked for Celanese Corporation in Product Development and Market Planning, She and her husband Rory enjoy empty-nest living in downtown Chicago.

Mary Ann credits YCT for the high standard of her children’s music education.  Her son William, who graduated from YCT in 2010, sings and arranges music with Sound Off, a professional a cappella group in Boston, and winner of this year’s “Sing That Thing” competition.


Oscar Alcantara – Exec Board, Legal Counsel

Oscar Alcantara is honored to be serving his fifth year on the Board of YCT.

Oscar is Managing Director and in-house counsel at Andersen Global. He has been practicing trademark, marketing and international law for 24 years.

Oscar has also directed choral ensembles for 30 years including the Harvard-Radcliffe Veritones, Chicago’s Lakeshore Jive and The Sheridan Singers. His vocal arrangements have been performed by dozens of ensembles throughout the country, including The University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club; and The Harvard Glee Club Lite. Oscar has also been heavily involved in musical theater productions, including as librettist and lyricist for the Hasty Pudding Theatricals. His book and lyrics for the Pudding’s production of Saint Misbehavin’ (1988) were recognized with the First Place Award for University Musicals by Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI).

Oscar has served on the boards of the American A Cappella Alliance, the Harvard Glee Club Foundation and is a voting member of the National Academy for the Recording Arts and Sciences (the Grammy Association).


Martha Kinzel-Exec Board, Treasurer

Martha is Corporate Controller at Trim-Tex, Inc, a manufacturing company  in Lincolnwood .  She and her husband Jeff met singing in a choir in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  They are the parents of two boys.  James, their younger son, is a graduate of YCT and currently attends Westminster Choir College, in Princeton, New Jersey where he is a music theory and composition major.  James will credit YCT as a major influence in his desire to pursue a career in music.  YCT will perform one of James’s arrangements at their March 2018 Professional Concert.   Martha and Jeff sang with the Northwestern University Chorus for twenty-two years  and currently sing with The North Shore Choral Society.  Martha also sings in the choir at Ss. Faith Hope and Charity Catholic Church in Winnetka.

Martha feels that being Treasurer of YCT is one way to give back and to ensure that other children have the same quality vocal education that her son received while a member of YCT.

Originally from Michigan, Martha and Jeff moved to the Chicago area in 1991 and settled in Wilmette.  Martha holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and a MBA from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids Michigan.


Linda Kiracibasi – Exec Board

Linda Kiracibasi has been the Lower School Music Teacher at the North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, Illinois since 1978.  She teaches general music Junior Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, and conducts two choruses: Singing Raiders (Senior Kindergarten, First, and Second Grades) and Lower School Chorus (Third, Fourth,and Fifth Grades).

Previously, Linda taught Lower School Music at Colorado Academy in Englewood, Colorado.  She also founded and conducted the Classic Children’s Chorale in Evanston from 1979-1983, and has sung with Coriolis, a chamber a cappella group, since 1986.

Linda has been a YCT Board member since 2007 and is a strong advocate of music education, especially singing, for all children of all ages.


Cheri Mock-Jaffe- Board Member

Partner, FGMK LLC, Public Accountants and Consultants

For the past 25 years at FGMK, Cheri has been managing the tax needs of businesses and their owners.  Prior to joining FGMK, Cheri was in the Chicago office of the Big 4 accounting firm, KPMG.

Cheri is a graduate of Indiana University and received her Masters of Science in Taxation from DePaul University.

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Cheri has lived in the Chicago area since the start of her career.

With both of her children attending North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, Cheri is active as an officer with the school’s Parent Association, and she thoroughly enjoys her association with the Youth Choral Theater.

Cheri and her husband Mickey live in Glencoe, and their two daughters enjoyed many, many years of rich experience singing with the Youth Choral Theater.


Laura Tomačić- Board Member

Laura Tomačić is excited to be included as a recent addition this year to the YCT Board of Directors.

A native Chicagoan, she attended UIC and studied Marketing and Sociology.  Laura was the Director of Programs at the Executives’ Club of Chicago and led Trade and Investment Missions to Paris, Brussels, Berlin, and Prague.

Currently a resident of Lincolnwood, Laura has served as a Park Board Commissioner for the past six years.  A wife and mother to two sons at Niles West High School, she is extremely active in the Niles West High School Theatre Patrons Program, where she serves as Honorary Thespian.  An avid supporter of all Fine Arts, she is also active in the Niles West High School Music Parents Association.  She is a firm believer and facilitator in making the arts accessible to all children. A philosophy in true harmony with YCT’s.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys participating in the Kenilworth Fireside Book Club and the Lincolnwood Library Book Club.  As music and theatre are her passions, you can often find her at the Lyric Opera, or other local venues enjoying musical theatre.

A keen fitness enthusiast, Laura believes in a healthy lifestyle which incorporates the daily practice of yoga. In order to share her knowledge of yoga with middle-schoolers, she is a volunteer at Wellness Day activities throughout the year in Lincolnwood School District #74.

This season, Laura’s son, Anton, is thrilled to embark on his second year in the YCT Chamber Chorale under the direction of Ms. Amy Branahl.


Scott Johnson- Vice President

Marketing Communications – Gallagher Management Liability Practice

Scott Johnson has been an active member on Youth Choral Theater of Chicago’s board of directors dating back to 2002, with many of these years also serving on the executive board.  His affiliation with the organization is a result of having four beautiful daughters become active in the YCT chorus throughout their grade school and high school years.

Mr. Johnson received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, where he also sang in UNC’s Men’s Glee Club as well as performed in the UNC Jazz Laboratory Band.  He currently serves as marketing communications manager for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.’s Management Liability Practice, located in Chicago.  Scott and his wife, Marcy, presently make their home in Wilmette, IL.
